At week 37, your doctor will continue to monitor you and your baby's progress and make sure there are no health concerns. Doctors usually continue to check for bacterial infections in the vagina (especially by Group B streptococcus) so they can be treated as soon as possible. Your doctor will also use ultrasound to monitor your amniotic fluid levels, which naturally begin to drop at this time. Otherwise, you can finish up any classes you have been taking to prepare you for delivery and patiently await the arrival of your baby.
