Even though you may be wearing maternity clothes by week 12, you probably won't look too pregnant. This is especially true if it's your first pregnancy - women may begin to show earlier after they've already had one child. At this point in pregnancy, your uterus is much larger but you've probably only gained a few pounds. In week 12, you may also start to notice some changes in your skin. Some women develop dark patches on their face (called the "mask of pregnancy"), and others may develop red bumps or patches. These changes in your skin go away after pregnancy, but it's a good idea to protect your skin using clothing and sunscreen since it may be extra sensitive while you're pregnant.
