How long does a normal pregnancy last?

A normal term pregnancy lasts generally between 37 and 42 weeks. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists considers a full-term pregnancy to be between 39 weeks and 0 days and 40 weeks and 6 days. Early-term babies are born between 37 weeks and 38 weeks and 6 days. Babies born after 41 weeks are considered to be late-term or post-term.
