What is training intensity?

You get what you give. Training intensity is the amount of effort you are putting in to whatever exercise you are doing. Walking a dog will (most of the time) be low to medium intensity based on your speed of walking but running with your dog will be high intensity. Another example is a low intensity balance training work out vs. a high intensity kettle bell work out. Think of the most challenging work out you have ever done, that you had to put all of your energy into to complete, that's your "maximum intensity". To factor your training intensity for other work outs compare them to your max intensity session. What will it be today: low, medium or high intensity training?

Training intensity refers to the level of effort a person exerts during exercise relative to his or her maximum effort.
