Rosacea may look like acne or a sunburn in some ways, but it's a distinct skin condition. A mild case of rosacea can redden the skin on your face, as if you had spent too much time outdoors without wearing a hat or sun block. A sunburn eventually fades, but rosacea typically flares up, goes into remission, then returns. More severe cases of rosacea can resemble a bad case of acne.
