Alcohol in skincare products can irritate and worsen rosacea symptoms. In a recent survey, two-thirds of people with rosacea said that alcohol in skincare products was a trigger for irritation, according to the National Rosacea Society. Alcohol is found in products ranging from astringents and toners to sunscreens. If alcohol aggravates your rosacea symptoms, look for products formulated to be safe for sensitive skin, which are unlikely to contain alcohol.
