Joane Goodroe
Nursing

There are two important things to do to lower your risk for high blood pressure.

  • Control your weight. For people with high blood pressure, 75% are overweight while only 15% had normal weight.
  • Exercise 30 minutes at least three times a week. Studies show that people who exercise are one third less likely to have high blood pressure.

Always consult with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
