Your body doesn't like going from 0 to 60. It's too much of a jolt to go from sitting all day to a dead sprint.
Your body's systems need a signal, a starter pistol, to tell it that it's ready to work. That's where a warm-up comes in.
It's a gentle nudge for your body that raises your heart rate and warms your muscles-- --letting them know the race is about to start.
Prepare well, and you'll perform well. So regardless of the aerobic activity you choose, you can start with a simple warm-up.
A light jog or a brisk walk. A few squats in place or swinging your arms and your legs. Do it for five to 10 minutes.
