First, examine your lifestyle. Are you getting the nutrition you need? Are you active? Eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly can help you prevent further bone loss, even if you already have osteoporosis.
Also, be aware that smoking cigarettes and drinking too much alcohol can deplete bone density. Next treat underlying conditions, from gastro-intestinal problems to thyroid disorders, various conditions can affect bone mass and contribute to osteoporosis, if you have another condition follow the treatment path closely.
