How should I take sodium chloride?

How you receive sodium chloride depends on its form and the condition for which you are taking it. A tablet form of sodium chloride should be taken with a full glass of water. Or, you may actually be able to dissolve the tablet in water before taking it. Ask your doctor for directions. Tablets may be taken with or without food. If you are injecting sodium chloride, it will likely be done by a doctor or nurse. A nasal spray of sodium chloride should be sprayed once into each nostril. After each spray, breathe deeply through your nose a few times. If you have questions about dosage or how to take sodium chloride, talk to your doctor.
