In some cases, AIDS-related lymphoma can be cured. For example, chemotherapy can cure up to 90 percent of cases of Burkitt's lymphoma, an aggressive type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that is usually found among people with AIDS in Africa. For people with AIDS-related lymphoma, the probability that they will recover depends on several factors, including their CD4 (white blood cell) count, other infections, and how advanced the cancer is.
