During week 7 of pregnancy, nutrition is more important than ever. You may be experiencing morning sickness, which involves a feeling of nausea and vomiting. To keep getting the nutrients you need in spite of these symptoms, it may help to have several small meals throughout the day. These meals should include lots of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids so you don't get dehydrated. By week 7, some women may be experiencing cravings for certain foods. It is okay to indulge these cravings sometimes, but make sure you are not overdoing it on calories. At this point in your pregnancy, you need only around 300 additional calories a day.
