What skin disorder causes blackheads on a teenager’s face?

The common skin condition known as acne can cause blackheads. These small, dark bumps form when dead cells and excess oil cause skin pores (tiny openings in the skin) to clog. Clogged pores can attract bacteria present on the skin. Over time, the bacteria grow inside the pores and cause them to become inflamed. An inflamed pore may turn into a larger, reddish bump known as a pimple. Most teenagers develop acne at one time or another.
