There are centers all over the world that are studying questions about breast cancer. Oncology professor Robert Clarke, PhD, DSc, describes the collaboration among researchers and how they learn from each other.

We collaborate across international boundaries much more so than we used to. It's easier than it ever was before to do that.
The dissemination and the generation of knowledge is increasing at a tremendous rate.

ROBERT CLARKE: There are centers all over the world that are looking sometimes at the same questions we have at the same way, sometimes the same questions differently,
or different questions. It's really an international community war on this disease.
It doesn't-- the battles are being fought everywhere. We share data. We publish. We learn from each other as much as we possibly can.
We collaborate across international boundaries much more so than we used to. It's easier than it ever was before to do that.
The dissemination and the generation of knowledge is increasing at a tremendous rate.
And alone, not all of that is useful or usable. The amount that's useful and usable
within that increasing volume of knowledge and data is also increasing. [MUSIC PLAYING]
