Orgasms feel different from person to person, but many women experience similar feelings. During orgasms, muscles throughout the body - especially in the pelvis, vagina, and anus - contract in a rhythmic way. Many women describe this as a sense of "throbbing." Women may experience a tingling or warm sensation that starts in the clitoris and spreads throughout the body. When women orgasm, chemicals are released that spread throughout the body and cause a pleasant, relaxed feeling.
