Do animals get angry?

It may seem that animals get angry because a bull charges at a matador, a cat hisses when you step on its tail and a dog growls at the mailman. But anger requires a mental component that scientists do not believe animals possess. The reactions that animals have that may seem like anger are most likely expressions of fear.
