How does stage 0 pancreatic cancer affect the body?

In pancreatic cancer, cancer cells in the pancreas grow and multiply quickly, which can cause a tumor to grow. In stage 0 pancreatic cancer, the earliest stage, abnormal cells, which may or may not be cancerous, form in the top layers of the pancreas. Depending on where the cancer cells are located in the pancreas, this may or may not produce symptoms. If the tumor becomes larger, spreads to other parts of the pancreas, or spreads to other parts of the body, the cancer has moved beyond stage 0.
