Emotional health is influenced by environmental factors, relationships, physical health, self awareness, and stress. An emotionally healthy individual is not happy all the time. In fact, someone who doesn't seem to experience negative emotions may be repressing their emotions. Positive and negative emotional responses can be appropriate based on the life situation. Emotionally healthy individuals express appropriate emotions, which can help them to avoid danger, relieve stress, and communicate with others.
