Did you know that back pain is the number-one reason why people see the doctor in the US? If you've hurt your back before, you definitely
know what I'm talking about. It hurts like crazy. That's why I try to do this stretch every day.
It really helps loosen up those muscles in my lower back. Sometimes this is called the Figure Four stretch.
You'll see why. Here's how to do it. Lie on your back with your knees up and your feet on the floor.
Take the ankle of one leg and put it on the knee of the other like this, see? Now lift that knee and bring it towards your chest.
Feel that? It feels good, right? Now switch sides and do it again. I used to get back pain all the time.
But this stretch has really helped me stay loose and avoid it.
