This is the question I get all the time.
What time of day is the most effective for weight loss? Now, in my opinion, I always prefer exercise early
in the morning before breakfast. Now, I know this can be argued a lot of different ways in the fitness world. It's like an ongoing battle.
However, when it comes to weight loss, and especially in just lighter cardio training, early in the day is extremely effective.
Now, research has actually shown that people that train earlier, before breakfast, they train harder and longer than those who train in the afternoon and evenings.
But we've also found that really one of the biggest keys to weight loss success is consistency. And research has definitely proven
that people that train earlier are much more consistent with their exercise than those folks that trained later in the day. And the reason being is that, hey, when we say,
ah, I'm just going to train at 5:00 or 6:00 tonight or whatever it is, we get busy. You know, we're parents. We're working.
You stay late at work. You got to pick up the kids from soccer practice. Your spouse comes home late and you want to talk a little bit. And before you know it, the common answer
that we always get is either I just didn't have enough energy at the end of the day or I didn't have enough time. But that's not an excuse when you're getting up earlier
and you're training before breakfast, you set that clock early, it's going to be that consistency. And consistency leads to success.
