When I google purpose, I get over a billion hits. And it's from health care, it's from aging.
It's also through leadership. Trust is built by purposeful leaders.

Purpose is age agnostic, but purpose is also industry agnostic.
So many people today are unwilling, if they can have that choice, to work for an organization that
doesn't have a purpose or a leader that doesn't have a purpose. We've all had narcissistic leaders, who are all about themselves and their own careers.
Did that make you feel productive? Did that make you feel want to get up and go to work every day? I don't think so. I've had those in my life, and I'm sure you have as well.
What I found is that purpose and health and purpose and well-being, you see purpose now as the centerpiece of integrative medicine and not
just nutrition and diet and exercise and sleep and all of the things that are obvious factors, but also
through mindset, through attitude. We're talking about life skills of the 21st century here, figuring out who you are and how you want to grow
and how you can succeed. It's a redefinition for many people of success. Beyond money, it's success with fulfillment.
When I met Viktor Frankl, he drew a line, a horizontal line. It said not successful, successful.
And then he drew a vertical line. So he created four quadrants. And the vertical line was fulfillment.
And at the top was deep fulfillment. At the bottom was despair. What we want is success with fulfillment.
And he said on the lower left is a job, something that maybe doesn't give you all the financial or outer success
and maybe doesn't even give you the fulfillment, but at least you get by and pay the bills. The lower right-hand is career.
Maybe you're moving up the ladder of success. But at some point, maybe you're done with that, or you're burned out, or you're not fulfilled.
And then in the upper left, high fulfillment, not necessarily high success is a mission, something
that you feel like, well, this feeds my soul; I have compassion for this.
And then on the upper right was calling. And that's what really grabbed me. I want to help people find success with fulfillment.
They have to define what is success with fulfillment for them. I see that this yearning to define
the answer to what's next is a life skill today, not just a luxury. [AUDIO LOGO]
