What is muscle endurance?

Muscle endurance is the ability to achieve continued work in the muscles for an extended amount of time. It is determined by the development of your slow-twitch muscle fibers. Muscular endurance is important in long-distance running, biking, triathlons, and other sports that last a while, such as hockey, football, soccer, and tennis. 

Muscle endurance is the ability to produce and maintain relatively low levels of force over prolonged periods of time. Activities like long distance running, biking and swimming use muscular endurance to help sustain the body to continue the activity.
