How long should I spend on strength, stamina, and flexibility?

Flexibility training may be performed daily.  Strength training should be  performed 4-6 times per week, and cardiovascular training should also take place 5-7 times per week for 20 to 60 minutes per session.

Allot the following time commitments to the following activities, and your body will be a body to envy. Or at least one that'll be around for a lot longer.
  • 30 minutes of walking every day, no excuses (the walking can be accumulated in increments throughout the day to add up to 30 minutes);
  • 30 minutes a week of resistance training, broken into three 10-minute workouts;
  • 60 minutes a week of stamina training (swimming or cycling), broken into three 20-minute workouts
  • 25 minutes a week of yoga/flexibility, broken into five 5-minute stretching sessions
