How do I perform a seated cable row single arm?

Wendy Batts
When performing a seated, single-arm row exercise, you want to first select the amount of weight on the cable machine that you want to use. Next, sit up tall with your feet hip-width apart and pointed straight ahead.  Be sure to draw in your belly button and keep your neck relaxed. With the arm fully extended, hold the handle in one hand and row it back by bringing your thumb toward your armpit and squeezing your shoulder blades together. Be sure not to shrug your shoulders or jut head your forward. Return to the start position and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Sit facing a cable machine.  Hold a cable in one hand with your arm extended at chest level.  Row by bringing your thumb toward your armpit, contracting your shoulder blades together.  Be careful not to shrug your shoulders or jut your head forward.  Hold the contracted position and then return to the start position.  Repeat with the same arm.
