Are energy gels safe to use?

Energy gels are concentrated sources of simple and complex carbohydrates designed to be digested rapidly into the blood stream to provide energy for people engaging in intense long duration events like marathons and triathlons. When used properly and by non diabetic populations they have been shown to be very safe. If you have diabetes or some other type of blood sugar disorder energy gel packs is not recommended.
