How common is blepharitis?

Blepharitis can become more common as we age. Tear duct production decreases as we get older, especially in women, and this can cause dry eyes. Dry eyes are more susceptible to airborne irritants. These irritants can cause infections and skin conditions which can lead to blepharitis.
