Is it healthy to microwave frozen foods in their original bags?

Unless specifically stated, the bags that frozen foods are sold in are not suitable for microwaving. Some vegetables are sold in special steamer bags. These bags are specially designed for use in the microwave and should be safe to use. They are convenient and people tend to love them as a quick and easy way to get their veggies.

It's important to follow the instructions on all packaged foods and do not reuse the bag or container.
