Who should use silver sulfadiazine?

You may be prescribed silver sulfadiazine if you have second- or third-degree burns. The medication will help to destroy the bacterial infections that may develop. Make sure that you inform your doctor of any illnesses or conditions that you have and of any medications and vitamins you are presently taking, before using silver sulfadiazine.
