Gluten free foods are just real food. I would stay away from the gluten free processed foods that are often higher in sugar, they're higher in fat,
they're higher in processed ingredients, they're more calories. [MUSIC PLAYING]
So when people think of gluten free foods, they think of gluten free cake, and gluten free cookies, and gluten free bread. But let me tell you something-- gluten free cake and cookies is
still cake and cookies. It's gluten free junk food is what I call it. What else is gluten free?
Well, guess what, an avocado is gluten free. An egg is gluten free. A piece of fish is gluten free. Real food is gluten free as long as it's not made from grains,
or particularly grains-- wheat, rye, barley oats, and spelt. Gluten free foods are just real food.
I would stay away from the gluten free processed foods that are often higher in sugar, they're high in fat, they're higher in processed ingredients,
they're more calories, and they're much less containing fiber, which means they raise your blood sugar more than even bread, which is bad enough.
Because there's a great marketing ploy when they put gluten free on the label, you think it's healthier for you so they charge more,
even though it's worse for you. My rule is if it has a health claim on the label,
it's probably bad for you. Don't eat it.
