I never gave it a thought prior to being diagnosed. So I might have put it off you know until it killed me.
I thought I was getting an ulcer. I would get these weird pains in my stomach. After the second day, I knew there was something wrong.
So I called my doctor, and he sent me to have an endoscopy, which didn't find anything.
So the following week I had a colonoscopy. And the results of the colonoscopy was I had a lemon-sized tumor in my intestines.
When the doctor came in and told me the diagnosis, he wouldn't let me leave the hospital.
They wanted to prep me for surgery the next day. I hadn't previously had a colonoscopy because I was not
aware of the necessity of having one, but there's nothing like being hit over the head with the truth.
Whenever I go in for a colonoscopy, I look forward to it. Each time the news that it was in remission
was like a breath of fresh air. I can't tell you how good it felt to know that I didn't have that over my head anymore.
Don't be stupid. Don't procrastinate. It's a disease that can kill you. Get your colonoscopy.
It can save your life. [MUSIC PLAYING]
