The liver has a lot of blood vessels. The liver is many, many small blood vessels.
So going through cutting the liver, you have to go through many, many blood vessels.
We have a technology to stop all these blood vessels, but obviously the bleeding is a one major complication
during the surgery and after the surgery. There's also liver has a bile duct, not only blood vessel.
There's another structure to secrete the bile from the liver into the gut that also appears while we are cutting
the liver on the surface. So those bile duct has to be also clipped or tied and stop the leakage.
But again, that can start leak again after the surgery, so the bile leak is another very common complication.
