Read Transcript

Exercise is good for diabetes. Regular exercise helps keep the blood sugars in control. However, during exercise, blood sugars can go high or low, depending on the type of exercise and the strength of exercise. Always make sure if you have diabetes, that you have access to some fast absorbent sugar in case your blood sugars drops.

If you don't feel right, and your blood sugars are checked to be high, then stop exercising and wait till your sugars come down and resume. Exercise can be somewhat unpredictable, but with frequent blood sugar checking, you will know how you will respond to exercise.
