Are Energy Drinks Safe for Children?

Are energy drinks safe for children? To me, this is a duh question. OK, if I asked you is it OK to give your child a drug, I think most of you would say no, but I don't think a lot of us understand that energy drinks have caffeine in them, and the FDA considers caffeine a drug.

It also considers it as a food additive but the amounts that are in these energy might not look like a lot but kids' bodies don't need them. They're growing and I think also that when parents appreciate that their kids are done growing when they come out of the womb. They actually continue to grow, their brains continue to grow, their everything is being built, their bones are being built.

There's a lot of reasons not to drink energy drinks, so no. I don't believe any child under the age of 18 should be drinking an energy drink.
