A facial peel removes layers of dead, dull skin cells to reveal the youthful-looking complexion below. Not all peels are created equal though, as Oz guest Anne Chapas, M.D., explains in this video.
A facial peel is a technique in which we'll remove the top layers of the skin, to reveal a fresher more youthful looking skin.Facial peels can either be chemical or they can be done with a laser. Most of the peels are done with chemicals, and the chemicals can affect different layers in the skin.
We have super facial peel that really just remove that top layer the skin called the stratum corneum. We have medium dirt peels which removes slightly deeper and going deeper into more of the epidermis, and then we have deep peels that really go in to deep fine lines and wrinkles all the way into the dermis.
