Are We Taking a More Holistic Approach to Medicine Today?

I believe we are much less solid and more holistic it's largely driven by the continuing appreciation for the fact, so when I grew up in the 60s, I watched mad men. You see doctor episodes and how everything is very physiological, right? And when there is need for psychological intervention it's still mystical like florid kind of thing, and over the last 50 years we've come to appreciate that the nervous system is another group of cells and molecules and it affects your rest of the body dramatically so understanding that mind body connection and how the psychology of an individual at any given time where they are, what is going on in their life affect rest of their cares or something that now much more paramount than it was say 40, 50 years ago.
