What Has Been the Breakthrough to Allow Progress in Disease Treatment?

Really it's the technology that allows us to quickly and affordably sequence the human genome, to really get a sense at the DNA and RNA level. What's driving a particular disease, or in this case a particular cancer. And we're finding that it's not breast cancer, or colon cancer or lung cancer, it's an EGFR mutated cancer, and that could be any of the solid tumors.

So I think the discovery of what's actually driving tumor growth is the biggest breakthrough and now what we're trying to do is transition with PhRMA to understand how we can match therapies and develop therapies that are going to be effective against those cancer drivers. And for us too it's developing companion diagnostics where we are using particular tests to identify people who will respond to those particular therapies and weeding out those who'd receive not benefit at all.
