Has Aging in America Changed?

Aging has changed a great deal, not always for the better. If you look at the population of older people today, they've probably spent the last 20 or 30 years in knowledge jobs as opposed to manual labor. They're probably more sedentary, than the previous generation. In many ways, obesity has became a new large problem for older people.

So even thought we tend to live longer, in the United States, we are falling behind all the Western countries and so you can look at a map of the United States and see all kinds of problems, even longevity being reversed in some cases. So we are living longer, but there are trends that are counter to that.
