Moisturizing our skin when we have psoriasis
kind of depends on the season and in the environment in which you live. If you live in a drier climate, you want to go for a cream based emollient or an ointment.
If it's summer and we have a lot of humidity in the air, we may get to switch down to a lighter lotion or even a gel
in order to hydrate the skin but not to feel too greasy. When we have psoriasis the skin is more prone to flaking,
and so we want to make sure that we hydrate those plaques of psoriasis in order to make sure they don't catch on our clothing or accidentally get rubbed off.
And so if you hydrate that, it's less prone to irritation. So make sure you give good coverage to your psoriasis plaques in order to make sure that they're well hydrated.
