up symptoms with the help of certain exercises. [MUSIC PLAYING]
It is recommended that you try low-impact, stress-reducing workouts that help improve your range of motion
and strengthen your muscles. Good choices include yoga, tai chi, walking,
and exercises in water. Interval training is another option which may decrease fatigue for those with psoriatic arthritis.
When you are experiencing an acute flare up, reduce the time and intensity of your workout.
Avoid exercising your effective joints and only do the flexibility exercises that you feel you can handle.
Also, avoid high-impact activities, especially if you are taking oral steroids.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing to reduce skin irritation. Breathable fabrics like cotton and looser fitting clothes
are your best bet, as well as fabrics that help manage moisture. And remember, psoriasis sufferers
are at higher risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Exercise can be helpful in preventing those conditions as
well. Talk to your doctor about a regular fitness routine. It can help manage and reduce the symptoms caused by psoriasis
