even without any symptoms whatsoever.
The diagnosis of the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is usually made by echocardiogram.
Most of the patients are found to have a heart murmur.
That leads to the echocardiogram study. In the echocardiogram, the left side of the heart
is found to have very thickened muscle. That leads to the diagnosis of the hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy. For people who have strong family history of this disease,
they will be screened with echocardiogram even without any symptoms whatsoever. The hypertrophic cardiomyopathy occurs in any age of your life.
In that sense, this disease can be diagnosed at any age of your life by the echocardiogram.
