How can others hurt my chances of success when making lifestyle changes?

When making lifestyle changes, having other people around you who are doing the things you want to stop doing will definitely create a challenge. Why? If you plan to stop eating high-fat foods, and your spouse, children, or the other people you live with keep these foods in abundance in the house, you are living in an environment that is less conducive to a low-fat diet. The same applies to things such as smoking, not exercising, excessive drinking, and poor sleep habits. Basically, if someone else is living an unhealthy lifestyle in your environment it will probably decrease your chances of success in making changes.
