answer
Medical schools may offer reduction in surgeries. The distinction between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery must be made. In general, elective surgeries may be discounted by using medical students and residents in training. Functional surgeries such as hernias, mastectomies, bowel surgeries may be performed with use of insurance and in university training hospitals.
