An itchy rash in the crease or crook of the elbow may be a sign of a skin disorder. The most common skin condition that occurs in skin folds of the elbow is eczema, or atopic dermatitis. It can also be caused by an irritation from an allergen (contact allergic dermatitis) or contact with an irritating chemical, fabric, or other ingredient (irritant dermatitis).
