The muscles in the lower extremities are the following:
- Buttocks.
- Hip flexors. The muscles that flex your hip up.
- Quadriceps. Four large muscles in the front of the thighs that are the key to healthy knees.
- Hamstrings. Muscles in the back of the thighs that flex your knees back.
- Anterior tibialis. A muscle in the front of the shin.
- Gastrocnemius. A muscle in the calves.
