How common are invisible (lingual) braces in children?

Invisible (lingual) braces are not common in children. Invisible braces are metal brackets that attach to the back of your teeth. They didn't become an accepted treatment for crooked teeth until the 1980s. Not all orthodontists offer invisible braces to their patients, especially children.
