Is Viagra an aphrodisiac?

Viagra (also known as sildenafil) is not an aphrodisiac. An aphrodisiac is a substance or drug that increases sexual arousal or sexual desire. Instead, Viagra helps a man have an erection by helping his penis fill with blood. However, Viagra alone cannot cause an erection. The man also needs to become sexually aroused, such as through sexual activity with a partner.
