Remission in lupus can be maintained by multiple techniques.  Eating healthy, protecting against sun exposure, avoiding environmental toxins, maintaining a low stress level, getting plenty of rest, and avoiding certain medications like sulfa drugs can all help in keeping lupus in remission.
