What are HalfLytely and Bisacodyl Tablets?

HalfLytely and Bisacodyl tablets Bowel Prep Kit is a prescription product used to cleanse the intestines before bowel surgery and bowel procedures such as a colonoscopy. HalfLytely and Bisacodyl tablets Bowel Prep Kit contain two laxatives: polyethylene glycol 3350 (PEG-3350) with electrolytes powder for reconstitution and bisacodyl tablets. PEG-3350 is an osmotic laxative that causes bowel movements to be watery. Bisacodyl is a stimulant laxative that works on the large intestines to cause bowel movements to occur more quickly. The bisacodyl tablets should be taken first, swallowed whole with water. The HalfLytely powder should be mixed with water and taken as directed.
