answer

If your infant's face appears swollen and the eyelids look droopy, speak with your pediatrician about the possibility of congenital hypothyroidism. A swollen face and droopy-looking eyes is a symptom of congenital hypothyroidism. When you treat congenital hypothyroidism early, you can prevent many of its complications from affecting your child. If your infant is diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism, he or she will need medication to supply the proper amount of thyroid hormone.
