Does ivabradine interact with any other medications?

Donna Hill Howes, RN
Family Practitioner

If you are taking a strong CYP3A4 inducer or a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor, you should not take ivabradine.

If you are taking a drug that prolongs the QTc interval, ivabradine can lead to serious side effects and should be avoided.

If you are taking a calcium channel blocker, ceritinib, conivaptan, dabrafenib, fusidic acid, or idelalisib, ivabradine can lead to side effects and should be avoided.

If you take ivabradine, you should avoid grapefruit juice and St. John's wort.
